Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

St Anne’s is committed to providing an appropriate and high-quality education to all the children at our school. We believe that all children, including those identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum. This curriculum should be accessible to them, and they should be fully included in all aspects of school life. Our SEND policy and documents below meet the requirements of the 2014 Children & Families Act and other relevant legislation.

At St Anne’s we believe quality first teaching is vital to ensure all children’s needs are met in all areas of learning. We recognise that in some cases, outside agency support and advice is needed and work alongside them to support children in their learning.  At every stage we feel it is important to work alongside parents in supporting children’s learning.

Our SENDCo is Mrs Smith. She is contactable by phone via the school office, by phone (01737 350012, option 3) or by email (sen@stannes-school.uk).
