Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium Grant is money given to schools from the government for children who are either currently eligible for free school meals, have been eligible at any point in the last six years or children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months. A smaller amount is allocated to provide some additional support to children of service families.

Our aim in spending the Pupil Premium Grant is to accelerate academic progress and to enhance children’s life experiences.

We decide how the money is best allocated in order to meet the needs of these children. This additional funding is used in a number of ways, including 1-1 academic support, group academic support, emotional support and financial assistance with residential trips, outings and clubs.

We would encourage any parent or carer who thinks their child may be eligible for pupil premium funding to complete the form here and return it to the school office. Alternatively, you can contact the school office for further information. This funding helps to provide great support for children and any discussions had with parents will be confidential.

Please find our pupil premium strategy here (December 2024).
